Local account creation is simple through the Django auth views, but it would be nice to integrate with social authentication to allow people to log in through Facebook, Twitter, etc. This should allow us to automatically create accounts from these services as well as authenticate returning users.

There are some Django apps that can help with this, someone needs to look into our options and how to integrate them with our apps.
