The Github Herseninstituut can host your public or private repository at any stage of development. At Github Herseninstituut, you can create a new repository, fork your current project and continue, or import your final code ready to publish and share.
If you are a member of the NIN and have a Github account, please email the NIN data manager Chris van der Togt or Alexander Heimel from your NIN email account and give your Github username to receive an invitation to become member of Github Herseninstituut site.
If you would like to create private repositories on your free public account, Github provides the option to apply for an academic account. To do this, add your NIN email (or other academic email address) to your Github profile and then request for your account to be made an academic account at: https://education.github.com/discount_requests/new
Group repositories can be brought within the Github Hersensinstituut, e.g. https://github.com/Herseninstituut/Acquipix, or links can be made via a link to the group's existing Github site, e.g. https://github.com/VisionandCognition, or via a group repository at Github Herseninstituut, e.g. https://github.com/Herseninstituut/SBL_NIN.
Log in and then go to https://github.com/account/organizations/new
You can then apply for Academic status using instructions given to NIN developers.
