It would be cool to be able to drag & drop renderables in and out from the layout.

that would be awesome. especially if you combine this with a timeline layout, where you will be able to reorder stuff, with drag and drop, on the timeline.

Considering all the trouble around Famous.Engine we might stick around with Famous 0.3.5 for a while. Are you still considering adding drag & drop?

It's definitely a feature I would love to have myself as well.
However, the highest priority at the moment is getting the code converted to mixed-mode..

@IjzerenHein I know your are following infamous/engine on Gitter. Do you really think converting famous-flex to mixed-mode, at least at this time, is a good idea?

@bardu, you make a very good point. My vision at the moment is to build a UI framework that will be somewhat engine agnostic, so it wont suffer too much from API changes and so that people don't have to rewrite all their stuff every time. It's still bubbling in my mind at the moment, I have a lot of ideas, but haven't had time to really get started with it.

@IjzerenHein an engine agnostic UI framework seems like the way to go! Hope you find the time and lots of contributors.
