Is there a reason for TEDIT to return its process instead of the underlying text stream?

Seems rather pointless, the textstream would have more immediate uses without having to enclose it in TEXTSTREAM. Doesn't seem to be documented, maybe this is just an artifact of the implementation?

There are a few bits of code that do (PROCESSPROP (TEDIT ...) ...) and code in LAFITE that saves the result of (TEDIT ...) and uses it, so I think it would require a bunch of work to make sure that changing this didn't break anything, and for the things that DO want the process, you'd have to make sure that the textstream had an accessor for the process so you could put the properties on the right process.
