Title (Goal) Manage collections and compound objects.
Primary Actor Collection Manager, Site Administrator
Scope Content Management
Story As a collection manager, I wish to be able to delete, move, and share pages and repository objects individually and en masse between collections/compound objects.

Framing this use case against islandora 7,

  • From a collection/compound's landing page, I want to manage its members. this means:
  • deleting some or all of the members
  • moving some or all of the members to a different collection/compound
  • sharing some or all of the members with a different collection/compound

This can be done, it requires:

  • Views Bulk Operations
  • Views Bulk Edit (for moving/sharing)

What VBE lets you do is set a field value, and you must select whether to:

  • add this value to existing values
  • replace existing values

What you are NOT able to do is move nodes from collection A to collection B if they are also members of various other collections.
