Please confirm the following:

  • I've checked the current issues for duplicate issues.
  • I've requested a single (only one) feature/change in this issue. It complies with the One Request Per GitHub Issue (ORPGI) rule.
  • My issue is well-defined and describes how it should be implemented from UI/UX perspective.

What do you want to be added or improved?

As a user, I add my investment transactions too (along with income and expenses) to IVY.

Because they appear as expenses in one account and incomes in another account, they also appear in the pie-charts for income and expenses. I want to be able to mark these transactions under the new transaction-type: "investment"

This is to ensure that my investments are excluded from showing up in either the expense or the income pie-charts.

This is my expense pie-chart for reference:

Why do you need it?

As a user, I want to be able to visualize my spending(groceries, eat-outs, etc) as my expense, and my revenue (salary, gift money, etc) as my income. I do not want to see the money I have moved from one account to another as an investment in either expenses or incomes. Instead I want to visualize it in an entirely different category: "Investments"

How do you imagine it?

I imagine it as a provision for the users to be able to add investment along with the existing add expense and add income provisions.
