crop-string

Trims strings to a maximum length and appends dot dot dot if needed.

Installation

npm install --save crop-string@^2.0.1

yarn add crop-string@^2.0.1

(if configured properly)

npm install --save @jaid/crop-string@^2.0.1

Example

import cropString from "crop-string"

const string = "hello world"
const result = cropString(string, 4)

Variable result will now be:

"hel…"

Development

Setting up:

git clone git@github.com:jaid/crop-string.git
cd crop-string
npm install

Testing:

npm run test:dev
