The Mainline kernel does not boot on Oneplus 5T

Bootloader should have no effect except Android 10 firmware on 5T fixes fastboot boot being broken in general as documented on the postmarketOS OP5T wiki page.

1. How does it "not boot"? You can check for signs of the RNDIS interface with the device plugged in to your host machine as per https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/USB_Network
2. What OS are you trying to boot?
   1. if postmarketOS can you add your pmbootstrap config output here?
3. Did you manually build the kernel?

This repo is also deprecated (I should archive this soon), check out https://gitlab.com/msm8998-mainline/linux instead which documents currently known problems etc. in much more detail and contains more updated kernel releases including a wip/6.0 branch.

Please just make a postmarketOS image through pmbootstrap, pmbootstrap export will give you a boot.img if you need it that bad, thanks. https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Installation_guide
That should provide a known-working setup for reference, if that doesn't work either WITHOUT UEFI I most likely cannot help.
