Currently, the L matrix returned by regoperator for an N-element distance vector returns an N-2 by N matrix. This ignores the distance range edges and leads to edge artifacts, because P smoothness is not imposed at the edges. But it should. Therefore, the L matrix needs to be N by N, with [-2,1,0…] in the first row for ghe second-order difference case etc.
