: the flag was necessary in the past, but this is longer the case. But more importantly, this flag triggers some memory issue and segmentation fault (NetCDF 4.9.0: segmentation fault after repeatedly opening a NetCDF 4 file, reading a vector and closing the file Unidata/netcdf-c#2486 (comment), Segmentation fault reading file with NCDatasets v0.12.6 Alexander-Barth/NCDatasets.jl#187)I tested my package NCDatasets with this NetCDF_jll, and I don't see any failure on Linux, Mac OS and Windows (all x86_64):
