Just a sidenote, when I saw this package name I quickly got excited because I thought it was an implementation of JuliaLang/julia#39773 / JuliaLang/julia#31086 which was also called Tapir.

Names will eventually clash so I'm not saying the name of this should be changed, but I just wanted to raise awareness that there is an existing idea from LLVM called Tapir that people at one point wanted to implement in julia under the same name.
