Spend your upgrade point (if Using KSC Switcher make sure you are at the launch site you want to start upgrading) NOTE: On first load KCT will say 0.1BP/sec but this is a lie, it's actually 0.05BP/s base rate. Once you add an upgrade (or quit to menu and reload the game) it will display correctly. Note that sometimes KCT will display a +0 improvement this is just a rounding error. The amount is small but not zero.

Training: Summary, Pilots require training to pilot the pod they are located in during a mission.

Training course times and durations that the training lasts are based on the pod/crew container and the stupidity of the Astronaut. see CrewTrainingTimes.cfg for base times.

  1. Proficiency Course Give a skill set that allows the 'naut to be trained to do missions in that crew space.
  2. Mission Course Trains the crew to perform upcoming missions. (available slots = 2x crew capacity of part) (base decay 120days)
  • Training time is BaseTime from part multiplied by 0.5(@0) to 1.5(@1.0) base on stupidity.
  • Mission duration is BaseTime multiplied by 0.5 to 1.5 base on stupidity.

Tooling: Summary, Each procedural item may be produced with or without tooling: tooling reduces production and roll-out costs. Tooling costs are based on diameter and length and secondary tooling of a given diameter can be produced at much lower cost.

  1. Initial Purchase - if the diameter (or type of part) has not been tooled before, the cost to tool is quite high. Note however that sometimes the cost may be reduced if you've tooled that diameter with another type of part (for example tooling 1.8m Tank II where you've already tooled 1.8m Tank I).
  2. Secondary Purchases - if that specific type of thing (Tank II or PLF base or stringers or...) and that diameter has been tooled, then stretching or shortening the length is fairly cheap to tool.
  3. Very small % changes are zero cost.

The RP-0 GUI, on the tooling tab, will show purchased toolings and (if in the VAB/SPH) any untooled parts.

Maintenance Costs: Summary, Each facility, astronaut and other sundries have a minor ongoing cost based on various factors.

Facilities: Summary, New levels and functions of many Facilities change, Multiple pads each of independent levels up to 7 can be purchased at any launch site. R&D can be leveled up to 7. Strategy building is not currently functional as reputation has no impact. Other building costs change but retain similar function and levels. When upgrading pads always make sure you keep active lower level pads and use the smallest pad for the craft to reduce cost and rollout time.
