Hi 👋 My name is Kiran Hombal

System Programmer ( Linux and ESXi Kernel )

Pursuing PhD in computer science with a specialization in Distributed Systems and Storage Systems from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

  • ⚡  I Have 4.5+ years of experience, working with distributred systems and kernels focusing on Distributed Storage (NVMeOF, iSCSI) and Memory Management Unit (PageCaching) components.
  • ⚡⚡ 3 and 1/2 as a Kernel developer at VMware, 1+ years as a Researcher at UIUC.
  • 🌍  Currently on UIUC campus, focusing on research in the domain of Distributed storage systems, RDMA, Linux kernel and CXL.
