Welcome to the Kamloops Makerspace Tools wiki. I'm writing about the toys we have and what we do with them here.

I'm going to start by organizing things by the shops and labs you will find them in, but feel free to cross link the living shit out of this stuff.

\m/etal Room Some heretics insist on calling it the Fab Shop... but fuck them, they're not on here writing docs on a Sunday afternoon.

Wood Shop We have wood! I don't know much about it, but there are piles of sawdust, so somebody must know what this stuff does.

Electronics Lab We do things with microcontrollers, components, circuit boards etc. Tools for diagnosing problems, modifying devices, and creating new electronic gizmos.

Hack Room We take things apart here. Donations come in, sometimes we harvest their guts. Also, 3d-printing and some lightweight engraving/routing...

Lounge This is the most heavily used room at the space. It is where we drink coffee and talk about projects we are not currently working on. Spillover from the electronics room, hack room etc is common. Frequently we hold meetings here.

Kitchen This is where we make the coffee to drink in the lounge. Also, we sometimes make food. Which we usually eat in the lounge.

Mud Room We have member's storage here. Also there is a walk-in fridge that might hopefully work some day.

Design Lab Pretty things are made here. Talk to Vaughn. He really knows how to make things that don't look like shit. Not really my specialty.

Craftorium Delicate, crafty things get made in here. Paper, fabric, perler beads... Lots of OCD is involved. Also there is a sewing machine that shifts like my truck that can chew you up and spit out the pieces. It is pretty badass.

Pottery Room I think they are going to make cups to drink coffee out of or something. Room is not finished setting up yet.

Basement We don't go down there much. It has boilers and asbestos and a breaker panel. If the building is cold, or the lights won't come on... the answer might be down there.

Main Entrance The Wall of Shame hangs inside the Main Entrance mantrap.

Hallway We are not really supposed to store things in the hallways, but there is some member storage near the downstairs bathroom.

Downstairs Washroom Was originally a laundry/shower facility. We treat it as a women's bathroom sometimes... other times, it gets a little coed. We should really clarify that. There are laundry facilities there, and a shower, which would be useful if anyone got badly burned. And if we did not block the doorway all the time. Laundry has 240VAC. Nudge-nudge wink wink.

Upstairs Washroom Just a couple of shitters and a urinal.

Even more upstairs washroom Has a bunch more shitters and a couple of urinals, but we might be taking it all out to put in a kiln? Not sure the status of that.
