Between v0.45.1 and v0.45.3, the
unsafe-reset-all
cmd was replaced with a version imported from tendermint. This broke due to a issue with tendermint configs. The cmd deletes various directories in the app's home folder (normally ~/.kava).
Previously this home folder was supplied by the viper instance attached to the server ctx passed down from the root cmd. However the imported tendermint cmds read from a global viper instance. This global instance is not setup correctly in the sdk:
The global viper is setup in https://github.com/Kava-Labs/kava/blob/c01b64f227bc14bf62bd993aa9eda0b288cea713/cmd/kava/main.go#L16 (via a cobra "initializer" func). However this doesn't set an env prefix, so just loads all available env vars into the global viper. Then a users's default $HOME env var conflicts with tendermint's "home" config, setting the app's home folder to the user's home folder.
This PR backports a fix from sdk v0.46+ that sets the env prefix correctly. cosmos#10950
