How to Play
Browse the headers below for different topics on how to get started!
Hitting the 'tab' key will slide open a menu with the following options:
- Players
- Jobs
- Items
- Faction: if you are in a faction
- Admin: if you are an admin
The players tab will show all the players in the game sorted by their faction and their current job. As well, their kills, deaths, and ping will be shown.
Shown on this panel will be the Factions and Jobs available to the player. If you want to join a Faction just hit the "Join Faction" button. If you want to leave your current faction, hit the "Leave Faction" button; this will take you back to the default faction. This also resets you to Citizen. Under this, the Jobs section will be found. You can only join jobs that are empty or available to that faction. Some Jobs may require a vote before you can join, and some have models you can choose from. Hit the "Set Model" button to chose your model.
Shown on this panel are all items available to the player. If you can't buy an item it will be red. Shown next to the "Buy Item" button will be the item price. Note that some items have a maximum allowance, and you may be restricted from buying any more.
If you are in a Faction, this menu will show up. In here is found the Faction Bank and all players in the faction. On the bank is the amount currently in the vault, as well as a Deposit and Withdraw button. The Deposit button allows a user to deposit funds to be used by the Faction. The Withdraw button allows a user to request money from the bank; this requires the Faction to have at least five players in it, because a vote is created. Under the bank GUI is the player list. Right clicking on any player allows you to either Vote Kick or Vote Demote a player, either out of the faction or back to the Citizen team, respectively.
If you are an admin, in here will be found various server cvars and a player list. Right clicking on any of the players brings up a menu with options of basic admin commands to use on these players. The cvars are self explanatory, and updating one will change it.
When you spawn items, most of them will require some sort of input and give out some sort of output. This is where our advanced network system comes into play. Basically, each network system has a radius of 500 units from the supplier. So just put things near each other. See the Items page for a description on what each item requires or gives out.
Each zone can either be captured, or non captured. The non captured zones can be either a protected zone, a faction base, or just a non capturable zone. When capturing a zone, simply walk into the zone and it will begin to capture it if you have the most players there! When ever a zone is being contested, a notification will appear on the notification panel saying what faction is contesting it. While your faction is in control of a zone you will get paid for it. This amount is configurable by the server owner.
Factions are the essential way for playing this gamemode. Work and communicate with your faction to battle other factions to take control of the map.
