The SmartAmerica project is a Presidential Innovation Fellow project aimed at deploying and demonstrating the use of CPS (Cyber-Physical Systems) to improve safety, sustainability, efficiency, mobility, and overall quality of life.
At UCI, we are focusing on deploying Smart Sensor Boxes in homes that each contain various sensors to monitor the home and surrounding environment, communicate interesting data to cloud and local servers for analysis, and engage participants in the CPS deployment and process itself.
This wiki serves to both outline our current progress and future vision of this project as well as document the technical details of this project to allow repeatability by both external as well as internal entities.
