Are we right to infer from the proposed consistency errata for Loyal cards (#27) that in general if a card effect allows you to treat ‘X like Y’ you do not treat X as if it were Y for the purpose of other card effects? And that therefore Golems - which can be “discarded (…) like resources” - cannot be discarded for Relic Fence?

If we are, presumably it would follow that Golems - which can also be “spent for actions like resources” - cannot be spent in conjunction with Loyal cards to take the corresponding resource’s Prelude action? Nor can they be discarded to advance the Magnate Act I Objective Export to the Galactic Core? Nor would they be discarded when resolving the Crisis text on Unstable Harvester?

Golems should perhaps have an FAQ clarifying these interactions in either case.

It has been noted in the past that the intended interaction between Breaking Worlds and Bunkers / Banners of Hegemony seems to cut against this use of the word ‘like’: both Bunkers and Banners are “harmed like buildings”, the Breaking Worlds errata specifies that it should say “Destroy all buildings on the planet” and we know from the FAQ that Bunkers and Banners are affected.

My opinion is No on all those interactions.

Golems are not resources and can't be spent in any of the ways listed in the original post. I'll add an FAQ to this effect for Golems.

I agree that there are still some problems with the language used for Breaking Worlds and Bunkers / Banners of Hegemony here.
