German Changes and Corrections

I rephrased some stuff, to make it sound better (imo) And corrected grammatical errors.

Here are my reasonings for each line:

line 12:

• Changed for clarification, "mit ihrer meinung" implies that you will give your opinion rather than click on a button corresponding to your opinion.

line 16:

• Senden changed to teilen (send to share) it makes more sense to me. removed "und einfügen" makes the sentence more streamlined, and in german the phrase copy and paste doesn't really exist, at least in my circles.

line 19:

• Informal "du" changed to formal "Sie" the quiz starts off using the formal way of adressing people, that should be consistent throughout the website.
• The second part was changed for clarification purposes, to make it easier to read.

line 27:

• Grammatical correction "Produktivist" to "Produktivistisch" Produktivist is a Substantiv (noun) in german and adding "-isch" makes it into an Adjektiv (adjective) which is needed here.

line 32:

• Split the first sentence and rephrased it a little, this is personal taste, not necesseraly grammar.
• Changed "kein Linker" which is a more direct translation for "not a leftist" to "nicht Links" which means "not Left/Leftist", In germany we don't really classify people as "a leftist" we just say they are leftist/leftleaning.
• "Erklärung" and "Aussage" are both translations for "Statement" but "Erklärung" would be more like a Press Statement where as "Aussage" would be a Statement like "Marx is Based".
• The next change is a Correction and a slight rephrasing
  • "mit den Antworten Stimme voll zu bis Stimme überhaupt nicht zu, wobei sich jede Antwort geringfügig"
  • this is missing "antworten" infront of the comma. I rephrased it to avoid repeating antworten.
• Informal "deine" changed to formal "Ihre".
  • I mentioned above that the formality should be consistent, especially if it's the same Paragraph
• Changed "nacheinander" which means "successively" to "in Reihenfolge" which means "in order"
• Changed "gestreut dargestellt" to "durcheinander gestellt" while "dargestellt" means presented, it's meaning is closer to how you present someone rather than presenting a question. We use a different time form of asking a question "eine Frage stellen" to say "to present questions" "es werden Fragen gestellt"
  • "gestreut" is the literal translation to "scattered" but that isn't something we say things are if they aren't in order, "durcheinander" is a word we use to say "not in order"
• Skipping another formal vs informal change, "Damit geben sie" changed to "daraus entsteht ihr"
  • "this gives you" is also not a turn of phrase used in german, "Damit geben sie" would in this case mean that the person awnsering would give a percentage. "daraus entsteht ihr" is a better figurative translation.

line 34:

• changed "hat" to "besitzt" due to preference.

line 35:

• grammatical correction.

line 36:

• "zu unterstützen oder zu sympathisieren." changed to avoid repetition.

line 37:

• "lokaleren" to "lokalen", "lokal" is local and "lokaleren" would be localer.

line 43:

• "Sie mit einer linken ideologie in einklang zu bringen" means something along the lines of "to align you with a leftist ideology" while "Sie einer linken ideologie zuzuordnen" means "Assigning (not proactive) you to a leftist Ideology" this matches the original meaning better.

line 45:

• changed "möchten" to "sollen", "möchten" means "wanting something" while "sollen" means "supposed to" so intead of "you don't want to reach 100% in a category" it's "you aren't supposed to get 100% in a category"

line 47:

• little rephrasing to be more in line with german grammar.
  • "wenn sie mir nicht glauben, ist der code open source" would mean only if you don't believe me, then the code is open source, while "der code ist open source" means that the code is in fact open source.

line 49:

• "Revolution ist der beste weg zur sozialistischen Revolution" this just says the best way to a socialist revolution is a revolution.
  • changed it to "sozialistische Gesellschaft" which means socialist society
  • changing "zur" to "zu einer" is like changing "I'm" to "I am" so formalities.

line 59:

• changed "materialistische Grundlagen" to "materialistische Verhältnisse" both are translations of "material conditions" but the first one would just encompas what the baseline is, so how much is there in general, not the "Verhältnis" how much do certain people have compared to others.

line 63:

• "herbeiführen" changed to "bewirken", has the same meaning but avoids repeating "führen"

line 70:

• changed "das wert ist" to "das es wert ist" this is a grammar/style correction.

line 84:

• Changed "Verbände" to "Verbänden" this is some grammar stuff, "Verbänden" is the plural Dativ of "Verband" which is the right Deklination to use in this context. German is complicated, I just looked those terms up, the change was made due to my intuition as a native speaker.

line 102:

• "kultivirtes Fleisch" is the correct form here because we are using the Nominativ, because we say what something is, if we said something is made of cultivated meat we would say "aus kultiviertem Fleisch", this is just one example, there are other cases in which "kultiviertem" is used.

line 107:

• "wenn dies insbesondere der Menschheit zugute kommt" means "especially if humanity benefits" I changed it to "wenn dies der Menschheit besonders zugute kommt" which is closer to meaning "if humanity greatly benefits"

line 116:

• this is a rephrasing to correct the grammar.

line 121:

• "geschmiedet wurde" changed to "entstand", the phrase "was forged" is an english turn of phrase "entstand" means "originated"
• the second change here was made to avoid repeating "für die" which if read together with "Erreichen" and "Errichten" looks very simmilar, the first Time I thought it said the same thing twice.

line 125:

• removed "der" because it doesn't need to be there, so it makes the sentence a bit shorter.
• changed "einräumt" to "gibt" this makes more sense to me in this case and avoids repeating "einräumt" further down.

line 127:

• the original sentence was a bit conviluted, I rephrased it to be a bit more readable.

line 128:

• "Konzilkommunismus" is not the German word for Council Communism, A Konzil is a church council I think, while a council in general is a "Rat" which is used in "Arbeiterrat" (workers council) and "Räterepublik" (council republic), "Rätekommunismus" is the more used word, it is also used by german wikipedia for council communism.

line 129:

• same change from "Konzilkommunismus" to "Rätekommunismus"

line 131:

• removed "sich" because it didn't make sense
• removed "sogenannte" because I dislike it, this is german for "so called"
  • I dislike using so called because It always feels a bit condescending, for example
  • The so called "teenagers" are doing a so called "Dab" this is done to impress people on so called "Social Media"
  • I just don't like it.

line 135:

• "der Anarchismus" is gramatically masculine in german so instead of using the neutral "Es" you (not you) need to use "Er"

line 143:

• "gemischte Wirtschaft" and "vermischen" both have "mischen" in them I changed "vermischen" to "vereinen" to avoid repetition.
