This is intended to capture the updated statuses in the
specification.tmpl file.
Text added to reference developers and customers who are also
potentially interested parties in updates.

I am OK with the README.md changes.

As long as we have no agreement on the format for figures/diagrams I'd rather not commit .odp or .pdf files. Additionally these just show up as blobs in the repo which is not very useful for iteration. The problem mentioned in #4 with overlapping arrows still exists and there are a couple of typos.

I would recommend to separate the README.md changes from the workflow diagram. Once we have an agreement on format then these can be re-submitted in the appropriate format.

I'm looking for something that integrates well with github, but not finding anything magical yet. One I've seen which is promising based on an example they cite: https://github.com/lift/lift/tree/master/framework/lift-base/lift-json.
