Maybe it's bloat, but it could be interesting to try and achieve this without using JavaScript (idk if it's possible)

Could be done with PHP, which I don't have on the server now. I'm not totally against it as the site becomes larger.

This would be nice to have a random item of a particular tag given (random side, e.g.).
