Investigate Renovate & competitors

Renovate is a service that continually finds dependencies with new versions and updates the project to use the new versions. I don't know whether it's free, but if it's not, I'll bet there are competitors that are. Look at the field of available technologies and either conclude that none of them are worth the effort or select one that we could profitably use and create cards about employing it.

(Later note: After some preliminary investigation, I recommend looking seriously at GitHub Dependabot as well.)

Note that in some cases, manual changes to our code will have to be made to keep up to date with new dependency versions, and that whatever service we select won't be able to do that, so to some extent our efforts will be directed by whatever we choose, rather than strictly by our businesIs priorities.
