Pasting Layer (using ctrl+v) with 2 mapml-viewers in the document, duplicates the layer

In a document with 2 mapml-viewers, pasting a layer to one of the mapml-viewer results in duplicate layers.

For ex. pasting the following geojson to one of the mapml-viewers at this web page adds 2 layers instead of one (only happens when layer is pasted using Ctrl+V).
