Releases: MaslowCNC/GroundControl
Ground Control Version 0.74
Ground Control v0.74 adds a number of new features and fixes. The way arcs are rendered was improved, the zoom feature now zooms towards your cursor (I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to change that), a bug which was making the machine not respond until stop was pressed after finishing running a file was fixed, a buffer overflow bug was fixed, the terminal is more responsive, the motors respond more smoothly during the calibration process, and an issue with one of the popups was fixed.
Ground Control Version 0.73
This week's Ground Control has a couple great new features including:
*Macro buttons which can be set to send any command or series of commands to the machine
*Go to line button which can be used to jump to a certain line number
*Jump to next or previous z-axis move buttons which can be used to fast forward or jump back to the last time the z-axis moved up or down which makes it easier to jump to the beginning or end of a cut
*Bug fixes for line colors and machine not responding without a gcode file being opened
*Make return to center no longer lower the bit back to the wood surface
Ground Control Version 0.72
This week's version of Ground Control increases the baud rate to 57,600, and includes some big changes to the way large files are rendered. The program now uses substantially less RAM which should make it run faster. The way gcode is sent to the machine has also been streamlined.
Ground Control Version 0.71
This week's release marks the debut of the new self calibration routine, along with some bug fixes including preventing two popups spawning simultaneously from locking up Ground Control.
Ground Control Version 0.70
Lots of new features this week including support for rendering files in G91 (relative coordinate system) mode, and support for rendering files with spaces between the X and the numbers. The framework for the new calibration process is included in this update.
Ground Control Version 0.69
This week's update enables the machine size settings now that we have solved the bug from last week. It also:
- Lifts the z-axis when the "Return To Center" button is run
- Change the name of the "Define Origin" button to be "Set Home"
- Makes the position indicator show up again when using the << >> buttons
- Settings are pushed to the machine again if the connection is lost
- Manual calibration of chain lengths is improved
See you next week everyone!
Ground Control Version 0.68
This release is identical to version 0.67 with the exception that the settings options to adjust the machine size have been disabled. This is because we've discovered that there is something off in the way the internal calculation is done if the default values are not used. Even if your machine's dimensions do not exactly match the defaults, you are still likely better off using the defaults.
If for some reason you absolutely want to be able to change the machine size settings, version 0.66 offers all the same features except that the settings for machine size are not disabled.
Ground Control Version 0.67
This week's version of Ground Control adds:
- Settings file moved into users home folder so that it isn't erased with each new week's release
- Z-axis controls moved into one place
- Improved support for Fusion 360
- Bug fix for crashing when clicking "Home"
- Numerous other bug fixes
Ground Control Version 0.66
Version 0.66 of the Maslow Ground Control program. This version includes a number of bug fixes and new features including support for the grbl serial communication protocol, better diagnostic options, UI tweaks to how the gcode is displayed then the program is launched, user selectable keys for zooming the gcode preview, and tweaks to the way gcode reloaded.
Ground Control Version 0.65
This weeks changes were mostly focused on the user experience, including that the "Hold" button changes name to "Continue" when the machine is paused and ready to continue, clicking buttons in the actions menu causes the menu to close automatically, and files load in a way which doesn't lock up the UI.
