I am a current PhD student, finishing up a project in low mass dwarf star flare detection using All-Sky surveys (in this case, the ATLAS and PanStarrs systems). This work has been made up largely of writing my own custom pipeline in python and jupyter to process time series data from the telescopes and apply analysis to them in order to flag flares, and estimate their important physical properties.
On top of my academic work, my own personal interests are broad, mainly focusing on Time Series analysis, Geospatial Information Systems, Exploratory Data Analysis, and recently, have been gaining more experience with machine learning. Lately, my attention has been driven more towards the importance and utility of data in combating climate change, and hope to grow my skillset by putting it to the test on the issues now being posed more frequently from the climate crisis.
