CMIP7: Associate variables with grid labels and ensure that label is applied appropriately #734
Description
In CMIP7 a particular grid label will be associated with an actual horizontal grid specification. For each model we will need;
- Atmosphere T points
- Atmosphere U points
- Atmosphere V points
- river routing?
- Ocean T points (includes grid-W as these have the same horizontal grid)
- Ocean U points
- Ocean V points
I'm not 100% clear on where zonal means will fit into the above
Will likely need to adapt mappings repo to associate a grid with each issue.
