Description
Hello. This page says the following:
"This cmdlet uses the Win32_QuickFixEngineering WMI class, which represents small system-wide updates of the operating system. Starting with Windows Vista, this class returns only the updates supplied by Microsoft Windows Installer, Windows Update, Microsoft Update, or Windows Server Update Services. It does not include updates that are supplied by Component Based Servicing (CBS), or other non-hotfix programs or apps."
If you click on the MSDN link discussing the Win32_QuickFixEngineering class, you'll see this:
"The Win32_QuickFixEngineering WMI class represents a small system-wide update, commonly referred to as a quick-fix engineering (QFE) update, applied to the current operating system. This class returns only the updates supplied by Component Based Servicing (CBS). These updates are not listed in the registry. Updates supplied by Microsoft Windows Installer (MSI) or the Windows update site (https://update.microsoft.com) are not returned by Win32_QuickFixEngineering."
Which is it?
