Goals
Show customers that we support Amazon EKS

Major deliverables
Create a EKS templates that allows us to deploy and manage a EKS Cluster

Who it benefits
Customer: Less work getting started with 2A on Amazon EKS
Mirantis: Possibility to sell to customers wanting to support EKS Clusters

Acceptance criteria

  • eks-standard template
  • with equivalent variables as the other templates
  • Automated testing
  • EKS Provider support in 2A

Telemetry & Success Criteria
As with other templates we need a telemetry for:

  • each cluster that is created with the template
  • heartbeat information from each cluster that is running

Assumptions
Amazon CAPI Provider (CAPA) is without bugs or related issues

Limitations
Only deploy into Regular AWS Regions

User stories
As a platform lead and platform engineer I want a template provided by Mirantis which allows me to deploy EKS Cluster using 2A into so that I don't have to create them myself
