Python 3.10: __wrapper__ attribute #189

Partially fixes #187

Adjustments for __wrapper__ becoming read-only at Python 3.10.

All good, addressing the immediate import error with Python 3.10 as outlined in Alan's bug report #186 (comment) and I understand the context behind the fix.
