This reverts the changes merged from #1475, as they were not tested and broke
main. #1606 contains partial fixes, but there are additional issues showing up on DVS that will take more cycles than I can spare right now.@brycelelbach The docs branch will need more work:
main.dvs-submit-pr-aus-sc <PR#> thrustscript.Once DVS and gpuCI are green on the new PR, we can merge this again.
