Does anyone know how to properly attribute the author of the logo? Unfortunately, the Creative Commons Wiki does not seem to provide guidance for software projects. I also couldn't find any guidance from JetBrains.

The logos (light mode and dark mode) are based on the Nix Snowflake and its white variant from https://github.com/NixOS/nixos-artwork/tree/35ebbbf01c3119005ed180726c388a01d4d1100c/logo. I slightly adjusted, resized and compressed (i.e. “optimized”) the logo based on JetBrains Guidelines.

@timbertson, do you have any preference of how you would like to be attributed in this IDEA plugin for the Nix Snowflake?

I also suspect that if I don't somehow exclude the image files from the Apache-2.0 license, the files would also be declared as being covered by the license.

PS: The Snowflake is also already part of the repo as a PNG file, without any attribution. Not sure if I am maybe too pedantic here.

Thanks for asking :). I'm credited in nixos-artwork, feel free to add a similar note to a readme.md or something if you like. But if not I'm not bothered, people know it's the nix logo 🤷
