Sandhofe: Nocturnale Romanum
Officium Defunctorum
Psalm 39(40) : Expectans expectavi, page [196]

Column 1:

  1. The verse beginning Multiplicati sunt ends with et cor meum derelinquit me. There is no "n" in "dereliquit".
  2. The following verse, beginning Complaceat tibi has the wrong text for the second half of the verse. The full verse ought to read: Complaceat tibi, Domine, ut eruas me; Domine, ad adjuvandum me respice.

Column 2:

  1. The verse beginning Confundantur retrorsum ought to read Convertantur retrorsum.
  2. The verse that begins, Exsultent et laetentur includes the text, Magnificentur Dominus: There is no second "n" in "Magnificetur".

Is it true that:

  • there should be no N in "derelíquit"

  • there should be no second N in "Magnificétur"

If so, the NR project psalter is correct.

While not entirely useless as it helps verify that we fixed those particular mistakes, it is not a very efficient way to improve the quality of the psalter of the future books. I would much rather send you a copy of the ferial psalter as soon as it is done, for direct proofreading of it.
