Avogadro version: (please complete the following information from the About box):
Avogadrolibs: 1.98.1
Qt: 5.15.2
Desktop version: (please complete the following information):
OS: Windows, nightly build as provided by two.avogadro.cc today, [2023-11-25 Sat], md5sum 0abc9b430b1d4aa2064894a6130ce08c of Win64.exe.zip installed and used in native Windows
Version 1.98.1
Describe the bug
The template for a linear complex with one ligand only is does not work (the linear one about two ligands however is working)
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
click on "template" icon
select tab "centers"
select "1: linear"
tap with a mouse click on Avogadro's canvas -- no reaction. However
select "2: linear" (or any other type greater than 2)
tap with mouse click on Avogadro's canvas -- the template appears.
Expected behavior
Either type "1: linear" consisting of one central ion and one ligand is dropped for good (which then requires a new enumeration of the templates of complex geometries). Or, type "1: linear" provides a template ready to be used by a click as do the other options.
Current bypass
Selection of type "2: linear" of a central ion and two ligands, which eventually is edited.
