Remove dead memory mapping code

Per feedback here, the memory mapping stuff for the espi service is dead and needs to get removed:

That structure has a bunch of tendrils in some example code and we may need to rewrite some examples to accommodate that, though. Since that PR is already fairly large, I'm punting on that in that PR and filing this issue to track the cleanup work
