From a friend of mine on Facebook:

Small bug report: the text box on healthcheck.io seems to have its foreground colour set, but not the background, making it impossible to read with white-on-black colour schemes.

Any hints on how to reproduce this? Maybe I set white-on-black on chrome
differently, but it works fine for me...

(I'm the original reporter.)

This is a colour scheme set by the OS, not the browser. The full configuration is Firefox 28 running on Kubuntu 12.04, with KDE setting the colour scheme to white-on-black.

Looking at the CSS, it appears that Bootstrap has set the text box color attribute to inherit, which turns out to be black, while not setting the background colour (also black with my set up). Setting background-color to white using Firefox's inspector fixes it for me. Hope this helps!

Thanks. I'll take another look!

I assume there's a similar issue with http://shouldisharemyco.de?

I've just had a look, and it doesn't seem to be a problem for the text boxes there, as the form-control class on the inputs sets both the foreground and background colours. The submit button, however, does have the problem (its color is set but not the background-color).
