This is a valuable change but would break compatibility for existing uses who are reliant on the current behavior (spaces). Perhaps add a command line switch or parameter where users can opt-in to the tab-delimited format.

Dear all,
I suggest to write the ANI table in a tab-delimited format and not space-delimited. This format allows an easier reading from third-party tools or custom scripts, especially when the file paths contain spaces.
