What is the behaviour in-game?

With Giant's Blood, you can equip a two-handed weapon and a shield. When comparing an unequipped weapon with an equipped weapon, the comparison is properly with (Weapon A + Shield X) vs (Weapon B + Shield X).

What is the behaviour in Path of Building?

In PoB, mousing over a different weapon than the one that is equipped will show a stat comparison that seems to assume that the new weapon will replace the current weapon and unequip the shield. The comparison it makes is (Weapon A + Shield X) vs (Weapon B + no shield). In short, PoB thinks two-handed weapons and shields can't be used at the same time, at least when doing stat comparisons. Presumably this is leftover logic from PoE1.

How to reproduce the issue

In PoB:

  1. Allocate Giant's Blood
  2. Equip a two-handed mace
  3. Equip a shield
  4. Add a different two-handed mace to your item list
  5. Mouse-over that new two-handed mace
  6. Notice that the comparison ("Equipping this item in Weapon 1 will give you:") shows a subtraction of all of the shield's stats, including all block chance, the increase in movespeed that would result from not having a shield equipped, and zeroing out the DPS that comes from passives like Lay Siege that increase damage per block chance.
