This PR adds a new feature to allow you to use normal commit messages while a product is in "pre-release" mode, i.e. the version is lower than v1. With this mode enabled, major changes will be treated as minor changes and minor as patch. (And patch still as patch).

To end pre-release mode either remove the option from the build config or simply tag a release as being the 1.0.0 or greater version and normal versioning behavior will begin going forward.
