This is a large issue tracking all the feature requests for insights.

Status: We're currently still in the HogQL insight rollout cleanup phase. We'll fix all the new bugs first. This is the issue tracking the rollout.

TODO: triage all old issues and add them here.

General UI

• Store the modified query in the URL as #q={}, and get rid of the "unsaved changes" confirm/alert.
• When you save a description in an unsaved SQL insight, it resets the SQL insight to the last saved state
• Use path cleaning rules when breaking down by current_url
• Add group property filters everywhere they are now supported
• Editing title/description UX is confusing
• Dashboard modal: add buttons are far from labels, (highlight the row's background?)
• Apply Dashboard Filters to Insights on Click posthog#22939
• Allow saving and naming HogQL snippets for breakdown or filter (and reuse).

Trends

• Separate vertical axes if more than one trend line
• In Progress - Sandy HogQL as big number
• Set custom scale (0-100%)
• Group/aggregate by $session_id
• Group/aggregate by $group_0 and other groups
• Long HogQL breakdown breaks the details table under the insight
• In Progress - Sandy - Removing series on a pie chart removes the wrong series
• Per minute grouping
• Make it easier to compare a specific week day, month of the year with a previous instance posthog#14991
• Custom start date when comparing to previous time period posthog#12170
• Formula mode does not work (well) on world map
• Compare to previous period for each breakdown posthog#22233
• Rename the Formula insights  posthog#22242
• Allow World Map based on custom country code properties posthog#9679

Funnels

• Adjust scale of visualization results if low percentages
• Compare with previous period to conversion steps
• Annotations on historical trends
• Different conversion time for steps vs time to convert (avg(1+2) vs avg(1)+avg(2))
• Allow for optional steps
• Add a setting for exclusions make them exclude the whole user (even if there is no following event)
• Allow some steps to not have an aggregate field (match all)
• Convert unordered funnels and time to convert to UDFs
• Clicking "Other" on funnels with breakdowns doesn't work
• Allow for insights to pull in events to finish the conversion window that aren't in the date time
• First time for user logic should allow for first time for groups

Paths

• Unable to select start/end point with Custom HogQL expression aggregation
• Bug Report: User paths visualization partially hidden posthog#21998
• Support Partial paths returned from User Paths posthog#20554

Retention

• Add filters to the start and target events
• Weighted average retention curve across multiple cohorts in the Retention analysis
• Typing in the "in the last" field refreshes the query instantly. Should delay and also allow clearing the field.
• Change the start day
• Retention insight: Show the average retention for each period posthog#19543
• Percentages in the CSV not the total numbers (zendesk)
• See top level averages on retention graphs. Last 90 days, i'd want to see the average D1-30 retention at the top of the table across all the cohorts.

Stickiness

• Show percentages rather than raw numbers.
• Datapoint labels on stickiness graphs always count in days posthog#22209

SQL

• We don't show all datetimes correctly

Shared dashboards

• Problems with reloads
• Cohorts show up as IDs

Dashboards

• Insights with different date ranges on same dashboard
