Environment

  • PostgREST version: v11.0.1

Description of issue

It seems that the header "Prefer: return=minimal" is not documented.

@sted Oh wow, you're right. return=minimal is the default for writes though.

Sure.
Is it correct to say that return=minimal is mostly a no-op, in the sense that:

  1. It is the default for write queries
  2. It is not considered for read queries

?

  1. Yes, doing a POST, PATCH, etc. without a Prefer: return=... header works the same way as sending a Prefer: return=minimal.
  2. Yes
