Allow developers to create separate display names and generated names for variables

I don't need the Chinese variable name, but the English variable name. The Chinese name I defined is displayed on the page. For example, key:'Hello', value:'Hello', and key is what the user sees, while value is what I receive in the background.

The original request is to be able to declare separate strings for a variable's display name and the name it uses in code generation. This would be a significant change to the APIs and only be useful for developer defined variables. User created variables would still have to fall back to the existing scheme.

A preferred implementation would be to provide a hook before safeName_ is called (or to replace safeName_) so that developers can define their own mapping to more readable variable names. If they are only using pre-defined variables and not allowing them to be renamed this could be a simple mapping. If user defined variables are allowed they could implement their own scheme. Replacing safeName_ might be preferred since some languages support the full unicode character set.

I'm pretty sure folks could define a custom generator that overrides getVariableName to do this now. Marking at triage to confirm. In which case, this should probably be changed into a docs request rather than a feature request.
