feat(YouTube - Hide Shorts components): Add patch option to hide Shorts app shortcut (long press app icon) #3699

For the users who cannot control themselves, the 'Shorts' app launcher shortcut can now be permanently hidden.

There is still nothing stopping a Shorts addict from not enabling this patch option, or from unhiding Shorts in the app settings, or from using unpatched YouTube and wasting their life doom scrolling Shorts. So user beware and maybe uninstalling YouTube is a better choice.

This feature is applied using a patch option during patching, and there is no in app setting to hide/show the app launcher shortcut.

Why this option not available on my YT? Already patched with 4.16.0-dev1 patches and i don't see Hide Shorts shortcut in Hide Shorts components section

it's a patch option. You have to use options.json to enable applying the change during patching.

A file used by the launcher is modified and it cannot be enabled/disabled in app.
