A program to keep track of your customers, products and print invoices in pdf format.

Description

The program stores customers, products, invoices in a sqlite3 database and can print PDF invoices.

Prerequisites

python 3.8 or newer. Link for python

Installation

git clone https://github.com/Robinborg/invoice_program
cd invoice_program
python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt

Use

The program uses an event loop to navigate the server and for creating the invoices.

The main.py is in src folder

cd src

Example invoice with command:

python3 main.py -sample-invoice

Before running main.py Setup database by running:

python3 load_database.py

Start the program after database is setup with:

 python3 main.py 

The program will start the prompts in your terminal.

About

The program uses Reportlab to sketch the layout for the pdf.

The program uses sqlalchemy to create the object-relational mappings("ORMs"), schemas and connection to the database.

Important files

invoice_program/src/invoice_template.py contains the layout of the pdf. You can change the company name, company address, company postal and business id in this file.

invoice_program/src/models/init.py contains all the setup for sqlalchemy
