Docker is pretty isolated, I would be surprised if you can get audio from it without plumbing some audio stream pipe (eg tcp/udp) between the container and the operating system.

You might be able to pass your audio devices /dev/snd/* into the container but I doubt that is default, and depending on the configuration you may end up having mixer problems: at least traditionally ALSA does not support multiple users unless your hardware supports hardware mixing, and many inexpensive audio cards do not---which is why we see tools like pulse audio, pipe wire, and jack to do the mixing in software.

I think this is probably becoming an off topic discussion, but to add $0.02: I think there should be a nightly build and the marketplace should publish it so people can easily test main and we can be immediately be notified of build problems.
