10/13/2019: Met with group about requirements. For the requirements I numbered/prioritized the tasks and added links to the Detailed Descriptions page/images. I also did my own research project using Django. This project uploads a file and sends an email. The link to my personal repo is at the top.
10/6/2019: Looked over final designs and thought about possible improvements. Looking to start researching technologies like Django.
9/29/2019: This week we all meet and discussed final implementations for the page designs. I contributed to the overall design ideas, but did not build the actual pages.
9/22/2019: This week we all came up with ideas for the rough design and the pages of our project we have to show. I specifically made the Recently Used 2 page and the Final Output Screen.
9/15/2019: We met with Dr. Vidal on Friday and discussed our project. We realized we have to pivot our project to not be as research based; we are going to create a tool instead that uses other natural language processing tools to analyze news sources easily, making these tools more accessible. After this I started to do research on what Grammarly is based on. Grammarly is a tool used for writing and we could use this for inspiration, but instead of correcting writing, we will be analyzing/highlighting the text for things like sentiment detection. I also contributed to writing the project description for M4.
9/8/2019: Our team has met the past two Fridays. Friday, the 30th, we discussed a few possible project ideas and then Friday, the 6th, we fleshed out our idea. We also discussed team roles; I will be working as a researcher and repo master.
