Is wavefield injection possible in SPECFEM2D? If yes, is there a starting point/code, thoughts or papers about it?
I initially thought it might be similar to the "adjoint simulation" codes. Am I correct?
Thanks very much.

there is no general wavefield injection implemented yet in SPECFEM2D.
for now, an incoming plane wave can be injected by turning the parameter initialfield to .true. in the DATA/Par_file, e.g., see the wiki entry on plane waves. as an example, see folder EXAMPLES/Rayleigh_wave_no_crack/.
