I am running: New install of Cyanogenmod 11 (FXP331) with latest InTheClear from FDroid on a Sony Xperia ZR. App is running with enhanced privacy permissions and root is permitted.
I tried: selecting [x] Contacts and [x] SMS log from settings menu then
Clicking "Wipe all" from the wipe menu
-And-
Clicking big red WIPE button from app main menu
-And-
Clicking red panic button icon from phone app list
What happened: The phone said "Wiping SMS", then "Wiping Contacts". No SMS or contacts were wiped.
I expected: SMS and Contacts to be wiped.
Additionally, the app did not receive the setup wizard's test SMS even though it was sent and received fine. This caused a recursive loop in the wizard which it was difficult to get out of. However, I discovered clicking 'back' dumped me to the main menu where I was able to proceed.
Otherwise great app and I look forward to future revisions.
If I may make one small feature request: it would be really great if the panic could be triggered by an SMS code phrase, perhaps sent by any number. Another great feature is (with root) if the phone could be permanently disabled, for instance by overwriting hboot partition, or could be told to zero-out working storage using a multipass deleter.
