Can I help DuckieTV with Language Translations?

Absolutely!

Just click here to fork DuckieTV's en-us locale to your personal github repository and after editing, save the file as yourlanguage_yourcountry.json in the same folder. Then send a Pull request and we will take care of the rest.

We would especially love to have our Japanese, Korean and Swedish files translated properly, but translations for any other language will be gratefully accepted.

Even existing translated files need refreshing occasionally, because when adding new keys we use Google Translate, so they are likely to need human corrections.

Things to keep in mind when doing the translations:

• Words within a list are in a particular order, so do not sort the words alphabetically or change where they appear on the list. Example of lists are AUTOBACKUPLIST, GENRELIST, ORDERBYLIST, STATUSCODES, STATUSLIST, TIMEPLURALS.
• Do not replace the upright-bar | delimiter in lists, for example, in the autobackup list: AUTOBACKUPLIST": "Never|Daily|Weekly|Monthly"
• Maintain any leading or trailing spaces, semi-colons or special symbols within the translations, for example the trailing space in "No results found for " or the New Line \n in the following example "first line \n second line"
• Do not translate keywords in braces, for example: {{itemslength}}
• Do not translate any HTML codes, such as µ and  
• Do not translate the HTML tags, for example the tag small in the following: <small>text</small>
• and finally, do not translate the language keys, for example: "SETTINGS/DISPLAY/locale/es_es": "Español (España)",. They need to be readable in the language that the user is looking for.
