I have a second system for research and for running VMs.
I have an old Lenovo T-430 running Debian and several VMs, which I might put to use in the future for hosting a server or possibly configuring and hosting a Tor node.
My go-to operating system is Debian Linux. I develop on both Windows and Linux and use VMs for security research, including Ubuntu, Manjaro, Mint, Arch, Kali and BlackArch (although I am not a huge fan of arch).
My base editor is Visual Studio Code. I have used others like Atom, and while I know Vim, itβs not my favorite.
I use Chrome and Brave but also test with Tor and Chrome Developer Tools.
