Hi Steve,
your widget is great idea. Any change to give some hint on how to modify your project? It would be perfect to be able to add/remove items, change font and size. Time and date is always there on the desktop so additional one is not needed. Plain VRM info would be enough IMHO. What you think about adding alarms if any arise?
Font/color/size: how to change font size (would be nice to make it smaller) and remove that crazy ink contour? Basically, would it be possible just to pick up one of the windows installed fonts?
How about refresh intervals? I think 1 minute is fair and it is not overloading the servers. How about adding some parameter to change it so one can pick 10 minutes or so? Going for less than one minute may be blocked.
